The output adapter too strong for Nintendo Wii?

I'm in Argentina right now and the output voltage is 220 volts, but the adapter The Nintendo Wii is 110volts AC adapter. The Wii will not turn on even if all cables are properly connected. Wii is broken or is it just the adapter sector? If yes, what can we do?

Or both could be arrested. I think that the adapter has a safety device positive, so you can work when connected to a 110-volt outlet, but if you can find an appropriate voltage output, or an adapter that is 220, you will not be able to play.
